6:30 PM - New Years Eve

Here I am, just about supper time and my mental capacity is already well compromised. I'm hijaquing Rob's Maque and I'm gonna blog. With weeurd misspellings throughout.

We're having a little mini"before"-party to warm up to the main event. The big one is at Rhonda's where we will be walking momentarily. There the fun begins.

Anyhoo, I'll be taking photos and maybe some MP3 and I can post it here later or tommorrow, Here's a picture for you that I'm gonna take right now...

( PICTURE TO FOLLOW ... once I find a USB chord for my cam.)

This has been Jeremy Pilon, live on location at New Years 2006.
Andrew describes it best.

Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty, I'm free at last.

Hope I inspired change.

I think it goes...

...without saying that sometimes life isn't exactly what you planned. Hell if i ever make any plan, it's pretty sure to backfire and fuck me over once or twice before finally leaving me to stew in my own self pity at how much my life sucks. Such is the nature of life.

What makes these times survivable has alot to do with the good people you surround yourself with. I really don't know that I can say enough thank you's to my friends and family who have stuck with me over the past 6 years. Some felt I was too hard to be around and left... and that's too bad because I think I have alot to offer. From bad jobs to a very confusing relationship, I don't know how I've made it this far, but somehow I always try to look on the positive side. And as shitty as I've been feeling the past week and a half, there have been some good people looking out for me. Corey, thanks for the invite, Jeff thanks for the absinthe, Andrew thanks for the rides, Mom thanks for the advice, Mark and Rob, thanks for the music.

Here's a present a little early... my resolutions for 2006 and beyond.

I'm gonna quit the Inn tommorrow. Possibly on the spot. I'm not gonna be walked on anymore. Corey and Laura at the Movie Factory have taken exceptional care of me, and have really shown me what it's like to have good friends AND a good boss. I'll be starting full time at the store as soon as I like, and I like to start soon! I'm gonna go to New Years at Rhondas, I'm gonna play guitar and i'm gonna drink absinthe... not too much, just enough.... and I'm gonna have a good time because i'm sick and tired of missing out on the fun and hearing about it later.

I'm gonna go see Queen in march. That's right, you read right. I'm going to see mother FUCKING Queen in MinneFUCKINapolis March 6 with Corey. And I'm gonna enjoy myself then rub it in the face of my friends... because that's the kind of asshole I'm gonna be in 2006.

I'm gonna (try to) stop pining about what I've lost and look forward to what I can gain in the future and stop making stupid mistakes just because I can/i'm retarded. I gotta leave the past where it is, no matter how hard that is and how many nights I spend awake/crying.

I'm gonna buy a console gaming system and I'm gonna waste a ridiculous amount of time playing video games. I don't care, I want to.

I'm gonna go camping more. Even alone or with Bootsy. I wish I could find some time right now to go... it's pretty nice out all and all and I think I could have fun with it.

I'm not gonna worry about school or careers for a bit. I'm obviously not ready and the rest of the world is to blame for making me think I should be.

I'm gonna start a band, hopefully in the extended-jam style that I'm currently obsessed with.

And I'm gonna keep blogging, because where else can I force all you good people to listen to me bitching!

Yesterday Was Cool

I got to stand in my grandparents kitchen and have a glass of scotch with my grandpa. I never thought I would be able to do that again.

A night too late

Stayed up later than I should have last night jamming with Mark, Rob and Kat. Pretty amazing jam ... definetly some cool shit happened. It realy opened my eyes to how much I limit my imagination and how little I've explored the tools on my computer.

Had an extra "participant" on hand that served as a constant distraction, think we'll be avoiding her for a bit.

So got offered a promotion and some other possible considerations at the Movie Factory. Hopes are that it will lead to my being able to leave the bung-hole of an establishment, the Inn. Feck I hate that place. But I guess it pays well.

And tommorrow is Christmas. Been wishing everyone a Merry Christmas as they come in... even if they seem like big tough "cool" guys. I figure if you're too cool for Christmas, you can go blow ... something... ,... yeah.

Anyways, have a great Christmas, and maybe, just maybe I'll post a Christmas message tommorrow. I promise that if I do, I'll be drunk while I do it.

Just when I though...

... I couldn't think of anything to blog about that didn't involve me bellyaching about how shitty my life is, Paul Schuck walks into the Movie Factory. Paul is the most hilarious person alive.

We had a breif chat, got kinda caught up, and yeah,... stuff. Anyways, he sent me to his webpage and I want to share it with you all here. Check out Paul at http://www.paulschuck.com/ and laugh your ever-lovin' ass off. Paul if you read this, your website lacks a recording of Dead Puppies... so I officially hate you.

And apparantly it seems my life isn't controlled by blogging enough, Corey at work decided that my blog looked so cool that the store needed a blog. So the official Movie Factory website is in blog form. Check it out at http://www.moviefactory.ca. My staff picks updates will now be moved over there as well as any movie reviews or clean store related commentary. Check it out often, we're still updating right now!

The New Blog ... and the retirements

Ok folks. So as I promised, I'm starting a new blog. This one should be really fun and will allow us some cool interaction. Based on the webpage One Red Paperclip and a get-rich eventually scheme I've been tossing around for a few years, ladies and gentlemen, I introduce Pilot's Millions (http://pilotsmillions.blogspot.com/). Please offer links and commentary as much as possible. I'll spit polish the site with a cool look and some links and shit in the not too distant future.

I am also retiring a few blogs that have just died. The Pylon is now officialy retired. Although a good idea, it was way more than I or Shanna or anyone we could recruit could chew. It was a great idea and it may someday risse out of retirement, but for now. Bye Bye.

Another blog I'm retiring is one that some didn't even realize was mine. Abe Taft and "A Southerner in Canada" will be retired this week. Abe was a voice character I invented/channeled on the canoe trip this past summer. Although Abe was the source of endless laughter this summer, he didn't transfer to print that well. Abe is kinda internet shy. He won't be missed.

Everything else is game, thanks everyone for sticking around here.

Staff Picks Dec 20, 2005 and a new Blog announcement!

Well folks, I got my staff picks done early, so you're in luck, I'm lettin' you see e'm now instead of tommorrow. That's just the kinda guy I am this week.

Last weeks was pretty simple, some got the answer without even looking at the cases. The common link of course was that each movie had a WWF (WWE?) wrestler in it. Pretty simple if you're a wrestling fan. I'm not.

This weeks should be equally easy for y'all. I didn't even hafta use the computer to find this one. Thanks to SHanna for inspiring, but not choosing this theme.

The movies are;
Waiting for Guffman
Ghostbusters
Strange Brew and
American Pie 3 : AMerican Wedding

This week also marks the first time I've SEEN all the movies in my staff picks ironically.

And tommorrow I'll be announcing a new blog as well as officialy retiring two dead ones. I'm still working out the kinks on how to start this one, but I have someone willing to help me start.

Announcements

Needless to say I don't really feel like blogging. Frankly I wanna take a short walk off a tall building. But we're not gonna let that happen.

So whilst I wallow in my self-pity, perhaps you'd all like to check out some new blogs.

First off comes Kristie T (or KT as I call her). She's an old friend of mine who finally decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon. Her site, Kristie T's Memoirs is availiable for your review at http://terferd.blogspot.com. Go on by and leave her a message.

The other new blog on the block is Dave. No, not that Dave, another one. Dave and I used to work together at A&W and both just about got fired together one night when we were caught in a rousing game of Pickle Racing. It's not nearly as gay as it sounds. Anyway, his very humble blog, Boomers Ramblings can be viewed and slandered at http://boomer316.blogspot.com.

I can;t help but think there was at least one or two more new blogs I was supposed to announce. I know I have a few to add to my blogroll on the right. I'll get to that tonight hopefully.

My new staff picks and the answer to this weeks commonality will be up tommorrow night.. so stay tuned!

Shawna and I Broke Up

Not a shock to me, but definetly the most painful thing that has ever happened to me. I have nothing bad to say about Shawna, she was and for the most part, still is my best friend. the split was as amicable as it could have been and we spent 2-1/2 great years together. Life just doesn't gel all the time. I hope we're both happy again in time.

Fuck am I ever lonely.

A DIRECT REPLY TO AUBRAY'S LAST COMMENT

Scroll Down.

Have a nice day.

Thursday, December 15, 2005

The band is Kleinbottle out of Winnipeg. The album is their first EP and is availiable at their website http://www.kleinbottle.ca. I suggest you download it, and play it for every living soul you come across and tell them where you got it and how they too can have a peice of the magic.

The album was completed this past month and has been on limited release on their webpage. I'm hoping to get my own hands on a more official release, but I'll certainly make do with what I can get.

Word from my source in the band is that they are working/will be working on a full length release into the new year, so we can look forward to some new material and maybe some retooling of what's on here.

Anyways, enjoy the album, its good. Visit the webpage as soon as possible, http://www.kleinbottle.ca.

Some experiments happening....

Hey folks ... Nathan recently suggested to me that we need to have a central place to check everyone's blogs and when they've been updated recently. It saves the time of going through 15 blogs to find updates on 2.

I am currently wokring on using Bloggers Atom feeds to do this. I'm experimenting with it on http://pilotworldlabs.blogspot.com if you wanna check it out.

If you think I'm missing someone or want me to add a blog, drop me a line.

As to the review I posted yesterday.... well we'll learn all about it real soon....
(continued from below... please start at the previous post)

... and in less time than it takes for my lava lamp to warm up, its over. But that short span lasts a minds eternity and in that space I found some amazing things.

A sense of inner peace and happiness fills my dark, decayed emotional shell that has taken over my normally cherry disposition. That the solutions to my problems have been presenting themselves for months finally strikes me... I feel positive for the first time in weeks.

The music is more rhythmic, more structured than I ever expected. The vocals vary, obviously more than one vocalist participated in the contruction of this album. I listen intently for the fingerprint ofmy old friend Mark, who taught me my craft and who will always be on a certain musical plain with me. I also listen for the only other member of the band that I've met in any intimacy, Brad. The playing I assume is his is amazing. Mark is as stunning as ever yet, insecure I sense and maybe a little shy.

I wonder at the production of the album. I see things I would do differently or mix differently. I wonder what the chances of getting the masters so I can remix a track or 6... and I know Rob wants e'm too (hint, hint).

I find myself engrossed in the visualization that Windows Media Player shows during the album (Alchemy : Random). I find myself falling deeper and deeper into the void it presents. I wonder at other visualizations.... what it would be like to try this again with something else to look at.

But mostly I feel good. And yet through it all, I'm glad Bootsy decided to lie her head on my chest while I was listening. This is a good album to listen to with your dog.

Tuesday, December 13, 2005

I may be the first person in Saskatchewan....

... to listen to this album. I'm fairly certain I'm the first in Weyburn, and definetly the first in my house. I've been wating a short while for this, and tonight I'm going to hear it right.

Tommorrow a day off from my hectic schedule allows me to devote myself to this musical journey with no distraction... and no compromise.

I just finished taking Bootsy out for a walk. A walk of relaxation where I strip away the stress of the day. Where Bootsy leaves her feces in the field of the junior high I used to go to, keeping her quiet the rest of the night. I also take special care during the walk to relax my body and mind so the I can become engrossed with the music I'm about to hear.

I get home, untie the dog, begin to warm my lava lamp and write the beginning of this blog entry to allow the lamp to warm and my walk to fully soak in. I prepare. I look for the files, load them into my player, carefully arranging them in the order displayed on the webpage. The files are prepared and if the lava lamp would hurry I could stop blabbering on my blog and hit play.

I am excited and apprehensive, I have heard clips sent to me of casual jams and evening mind-fucks... but nothing like this. This is evolution, determination, focus and practice. Elements absent from the casual get togethers I've heard before. This is an album. Could it be funny, confused, eccentric or bland? I have no idea, no expectations, no writing skill.

I hit play....

My Staff Picks this week

K I'll make it quick. A couple of you already know the answer. A very clever customer at the store got this one right away, so I imagine there isn't gonna be a prize awarded for mine this week.

The picks are;

- Rocky 3
- The Mummy Returns
- Looney Tunes : Back in Action
- The Punisher.

Pretty easy one this week, best of luck.

And Corey's the last I printed, the answer was that Speilberg made a cameo in each movie. Kinda skipped a couple of his picks there... can't even remember what they were, but his picks for this week are;

Die Hard
Pauly Shore is Dead
Funky Monkey
Like Mike

I haven't figured it out yet, but I'm sure I'll have it by tommorrow afternoon. Really haven't even thought about it yet.

Anyways I have 34 minutes to cleanthe popcorn machine, vaccuum, cash out and get the fuck out of work, so I better get at it.

Monday, December 12, 2005

Sorry boutall that

Well folks, first of all no one came even near to guessing the common link in my staff picks this week. But thank you Nathan for your persistent attempts. Next time you're in town, you'll hafta come introduce yourself to Corey. He wants to slap you for filling up his in-box.

I kid, Corey longs for any human contact he can get.

The link of course was John F. Kennedy. Featured prominently in Fog of War, Farenhype 9/11 and Thirteen Days, the kicker was From Russia With Love which was Kennedy's favourite book and the last movie he watched before his life was taken the next day in Dallas.

DOOZIE!

I don't have my staff picks for this week done just yet, I'll work on them tommorrow, tonight was suprisingly busy.

In other news, I've had an especially bad week (I know where have we heard that before). Something really bad happened in my personal life this week and it's really.... fucked me up. My sense of reality and fairness has really been tested this week and although I've approached the situation with amazing patience and care, I can't help but think it will get worse. Well I guess just be positive and face the problem, don't run from it and hopefully it works out. I know in a couple years it wiil.

Well enough of my negatorivity. I'll be back tommorrow night with some staff pics and who knows.... maybe I'll rant about something else... like some other shitty thing in my massive failure of a life.

On the Evils of Santa

Well we've all had the supposition, at least I know I have. Santa is EVIL. Beyond the obvious misdirection he creates from the true meaning of Xmas (Jesus) and many movies depicting his evil side, including the recently to be released on DVD "Santa's Slay", there are hints in old Xmas carols.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer : Perhaps the most glaring example of Santa's cynical attitude. We know that for some time, the reindeer made fun of poor Rudolph, and did the big boss Santa step in and stop it? Hell no. On the first occasion, one foggy Christmas Eve, he had Rudolph take up the lead on the sleigh. Now you tell me, how muh fucking good is a glowing nose gonna do you in fog? Would you like to go driving in fog wiht only a dim red glow to light your path? Hell no. Santa put Rudolph in front so his face would find whatever they were about to hit first.

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause - Bastard knows she's married, does that stop his busy hands? Fuck no.

Santa Clause is Coming to Town - Besides his creepy voyeurism of young children (Michael Jackson did it and look what we think of him), we also have him judging and punishing children. Santa needs to spend less time of punishment and more time on rehabilitation. And less time watching little kids while they sleep.

We can also add to these arguments the common popular culture images of Santa's break and enter (through the chimney), alcoholic tendencies (though the rum and eggnog for Santa has been mostly replaced with milk) and filase idolitry, franly it's shocking that the fat bastard hasn't been locked away.

My Ideas of Fun

So the other night (the 4th) I was vigilantly working away when lo-and-behold if I don't get a $10 bill in my till with the writing "www.cdn-money.com" written across it. Well I had seen such things before and I figured... hell I should visit this page.

The idea of these pages is to enter your bill into a database, stating where you found it and the database is then able to tell you where the bill has been and eventually where it goes after you spend it/put it back in circulation.

So I joined up and have been entering the odd bill from work and marking my personal cash, to see where it goes. It's a pretty invoved game, there are apparantly lots of bills out there like this, and once you get into the game quite heavily, you are able to potentially enter hundreds of bills a day into the database.

Anyhoo, if you guys are interested in joining too, the site is at http://www.cdn-money.com and it has all the info you could need to start yourselves into it. They also have a team feature, so if anyone wants to start/join a team with me, get ahold of me by e-mail or check out my profile page on the site.

I should add, that not only are they proudly Canadian, but they are also Saskatchewan based, so the bulk of the users right now are from Saskatchewan (like 59% of the bills entered originated in SK).

In other news, I think Corey has approved my pics for this week as being prize worthy, so folks get your guesses in. the first person to get the correct answer will receive a free rental from Movie Factory in Weyburn. Entries can be entered by e-mailing moviefactory@accesscomm.ca. Best of luck all!

Staff Picks - Dec 06, 05

Well folks we have made a breakthrough. Corey, one of the big bosses here at Movie Factory has agreed to review my staff pick commonalities and if they are sufficiently difficult he will award a free movie to the person who guesses it. This could be a limited time offer, but hey, we can have fun while we do it!

Dave got my staff pick link last week. It was of course homosexuality. Al Pachino's character in Dog Day Afternoon was robbing the bank to pay for his boyfirends sex change. In Deliverance ... well we all know about the.... incident. Connie and Carla is about two girls who work as a cross-dressing gay bar, pretending to be guys who dress up as girls. And Philadelphia is about a gay man who loses his job after his bosses discover he has AIDS.

This weeks is pretty hard. Corey didn't get the link on the first try, and it is pretty obscure, so chances are he'll approve it for the prize this week.

They are ;
- Thirteen Days
- From Russia With Love
- Farenhype 9/11
- Fog of War

Entries will be allowed in the comments of this blog entry, submitted to me or Corey Morrissette at the Movie Factory or at BLogContest@pilotsworld.tk. I'll post here in the next couple days id the prize is approved.

Slacking at work...

That's a scary title seeing as how one of my bosses reads my blog. Hi Corey!

Anyhoo, sitting here reading trivia on movies, Stanley Kubrick ones mostly and it amazes me how someone who is so meticulous in his ways of filming acheived so many trademark shots through improv and ad-libbing. jack Nicholson's "Here's Johnny" and the drill seargeants rants in "Full Metal Jacket" are all unscripted. That shit's BANNANA'S SON!

Anyways, suppose I should say that Dave got my staff picks right, and no one yet has gotten Corey's.

Quel Dommage.

New picks coming Monday night!

I gotta be quick today

K guys, I'm fighting the onset of a migrane, so I'll make this one short.

Write down your party of choice for the upcoming election. Just the first one that comes to mind. Now write the leader of that party down below that.

That man is a Nazi and eats babies for breakfast.

Rebuttals?

Election Stuff Again!

Hey all! Got a great bit of feedback from theat post a couple days ago, and hey I've started a discussion! Woo hoo!

So it seems most people think my idea of joining a party is a bit extreme in many cases, fine by me, politics is about not agreeing with people. I feel that people were re-stating something I thought I had said, and that was, do your research. So I'll say it again for clarity sake. DO YOUR RESEARCH. Please know what your opinions are and who best fits those opinions before making any choice in the election being it to vote, abstain from voting or joining a party.

Also a good point that was brought up by Shanna of all people about the Green Party and other small parties like that is that a vote for these parties is not a wasted vote. The more votes a party sees in an election, the more funding they get and the more likely they are to be included in things like the debate. I too proudly marked an X beside my Green Party candidate when I lived in La Ronge last year, but due to the absense of a candidate in my riding, I'll go with my next choice. Rob also makes a good point that much of joining a party is simply fundraising for that party, but I feel even by putting my measly $7 in, i'm making my vote more than an X, I'm helping my voice be heard, $7 more.

For those of you not as interested in making the big plunge to party membership or even dedication to an ideology, you undecided voters out there, I leave a good option. The CBC has an Election 2006 page with up to date news on the coming election. This page in conncetion with the webpages of the primary parties (NDP, Tories, Liberals, BQ) should be a good place to help you make a decision.

Finally, I'm gonna leave you with the wisdom of my father. Although alot of people have disagreed with this wisdom when I've presented it, I think it's good and it's my blog so I'm gonna say it dammit. If election day comes and you think that no party is good, and you want to vote for no one, show up to the polling station anyway. Get that little ballot and destroy it (generally by putting a black mark over all names). You will be exercising you right and responibility to the democratic process without contributing to a choice you don't beleive in. People fought and died years ago so we could have the freedom to vote, don't let your indecisiveness get in the way of exercising that freedom.

That's enough from this member of the peanut gallery... it's open for you guys now....

Corey's Staff Picks

Ok, so Corey wanted me to post his staff picks. He got mine right away and insisted that this week's was too easy. I digress... but hey his was harder. So Corey this is for you...

Indiana Jones : The Temple of Doom
Jaws
The Lost World : Jurassic Park
Vanilla Sky

It only took me 3 hours and the IMDB to get this one. I'll get you next time Corey, NEXT TIME!

Election Time!

It's election time again, and that means... a pain in the ass. But the democratic process is important and to paraphrase my sister, we all need to do our research and get involved. I've actually taken a step in the right direction by joining a political party for the first time. i am now a member of the New Democratic Party of Canada. i had thought of joining the Green Party, but I wanted to be part of a party that has a voice in the house and has a representative in my riding.

I encourae all my readers to do their research and if they know who they will be voting for, please join that party. I'm less interested in who you vote for, rather, that you vote. it only cost me $7 to join hte NDP, the green party is only $10 and the cost is tax deductible. I've include links below to information on how to join most (if not all) the federal political parties. If missed any, let me know, i'll post them.

Green Party of Canada -
$10
New Democratic Party of Canada - $7 (26 and under) $10 (26+)
Liberal Party of Canada - Contacted them via e-mail $5-$10
Conservative Party of Canada - $10
Bloc Quebecquois - server error, but they're working on it. Hey I understand French!
Canadian Action Party - $5 Student, $10 regular
Christian Heritage Party of Canada - $25 for 3 year membership
Communist Party of Canada - Under Support/Join - no dues listed.
Communist Party of Canada (maxis-Leninist) - awaiting information
Freedom Party of Canada - $10
Grey Party - No information on website and was unable to contact by e-mail
Libertarian Party of Canada - $10
Marijuana Party of Canada - Free!
Progressive Canadians Party - $10
Western Block - $10

There are a few other parties, but those are the ones currently registered with Elections Canada. So there's the info you need. I've contacted several of the parties for more info, so I'll keep you posted when that information comes in. Be sure you visit their webpages and understand their platforms before joining and I'll see you at the Polls in January!

Staff Picks - Nov 29, 05

Well a week has gone by already and only one person got the answer. And no Mark, it wasn't you! Andrew got it after visiting me at the store. The bonus movie was "Stealing Sinatra" which is a dead giveaway as to the theme, Frank Sinatra. The Manchurian Candidate is the original as is Guys and Dolls, which stars ol' blue eyes, All the Way and Stealing Sinatra are both about kidnapping Frank, Oceans 11 is a remake of the Sinatra Classic. Tough Luck Y'all!

This weeks picks are even harder to decode. Frankly I'll be suprised if anyone gets it. My staff pics for this week are ;
Connie and Carla
Philadelphia
Dog Day Afternoon
and
Deliverance

Best of luck y'all! I'm trying to get free rentals for the first person to find the link, but I'm not too sure the bosses are up to the challenge! That's for you Corey!

Sunday, November 27, 2005

Well wouldn't ya know it!

Ho w about this. My fat ass has been trooped around on the sask. government webpage as an entry for the centennial photo contest. Rob took this picture this summer on the canoe trip. Pretty cool photo, though I think there were better pictures in his reel. But what do I know.

Check the pic out here.

You KNow...

It's not like I don't have anything to blog about. It's just that I really don't feel like it lately. I've got material on UNO, Bootsy and some new features that are coming to Pilot's World.

But frankly I'm too busy and tired and just.... pissy.

I'm a little pissy bitch.

Ah well.

Staff Picks - Nov 22, 05

SO most of you were able to figure out that the commonality of the 4 movies I had last week was Bill Murray.

This week will be a bit harder, but still pretty easy. The four movies on my staff picks are;

The Manchurian Candidate (1962)
All The Way (1998)
Oceans 11 (2001)
Guys and Dolls (1955)

There is also a bonus "Hint" movie, that will help considerably to guess the common link. But you'll have to come into the store and say hi to me to see the bonus movie. For those who think this is unfair, well nuts to you, this is just a game, you can't WIN anything.

Future of Pilot's World

So what's in store for Pilot's World? Well I've got some plans, some are already rolling, others are still in the "it's in my brain stage". Needless to say there's LOTS to come. Let's explore some of them.

Pilot's World Bookmarks - This is kinda a two-fold part. I would like to make a page with a list of great bookmarks from sites I find and visit. I have an account started right now at iKeepBookmarks.com but I'm not really too pumped about that one yet. A better one that's I've tried is del.icio.us but I've been using that for another plan on Pilot's World.

The second part is the part that includes Del.icio.us. I've been trying to categorize and label the entire site in hopes of making it easier to find stuff as the page grows. Though with recent advances in Google and my ability to make some change usig Google search, I might just use that.

My Christmas Wish List - Oh yeah. Each year my mom and siblings want to know what I want for Christmas, then they just guess. Well this year, they're gonna know, you're gonna know too. I've started the list with a good service out there and this one should pop up in the next week or so. This will stay up year round as my Birthday and Un-Birthday wish list as well. Rich/generous people should check this out.

Pilot's World Hub/The Airport - Bringing it back to essentials. When I started Pilot's World it was based around a hub page. I want to go back to this style and I hope to have it up and running before the new year. From the page you will be able to access all parts of Pilot's World.

Pilot's World Research Lab - I've used Google services EXTENSIVELY in the creation and running of Pilot's World (AdSense, Blogger, Google Search and GMail to name a few). I'm ripping this idea off as well. Google has a section where they showcase upcoming and beta services they offer. I'm gonna make a section off of the hub page where I will show and discuss upcoming changes and features of Pilot's World. Part of this already exists in the form of my testing blog, Pilot's World Development Labs.

More Community Access - Not really an integral part of my site, but something that it should be a part of. I'd like to make blogging info and help more accessible to people in my blogging circle and try to extend the circle way more. Ideas I'm still throwing around are forums, chat rooms or guestbooks.

PilotsWorld.com - not gonna happen, it's been bought and they want $1000 - $15,000 for it, and well WE AIN'T GOT THAT. But maybe something will come up.

More Selling out - Still looking to make some income from the net, I've got at least 2 ideas for money making schemes on the net, and more I'm sure to come. That's all the info on this you'll be able to get from me. Let's just say all the selling out I'm doing at Pilot's World is just practice (the Pylon was practice as well...).

More Fun and Games - I want to do more Mark Interacts With Animals, More 666, More Saving the World Columns and endlessly more articles to come.

Portfolio - Ugh. I'll probably just post my old portfolio on the hub page at first, but i'd really like to get my portfolio up-to-date and attractive at some point in the not too distant future.

Pilot's world TV and Radio - Ok this isn't as big as it sounds. I'd like to expand the webcam page with other people's webcams and maybe some scheduled programming (Watch Pilot clean his house, party at Pilot's that type thing). I'd also like to do a streaming radio broadcast with friends and my music and some other cool sound files I have taken ( canoe trip sounds, cabin party at Jeff's, jam session tapes).

And then who knows?! I've got infinite possibilities here, just need to keep hacking at it and seeing what arises.

Keep it Positive?

ok, I know, I need to tell myself to keep it positive.

(keep it positive, keep it positive, keep it positive you STUPID FU....)

Ok so one of the better things in my life of late is that I've been able to shed the shckles of the DQ and got a job working for my friends new movie rental place... (drum roll)

I've been giving them alot of help with the store and I'm very proud of what it is. It opens today and is gonna be an excellent movie store. I work tonight, tommorrow and all weekend, so you should come check me out. it's located in the old Mattress World Store, across from Cleo's (Music Craft) and next to Joey's Only. The address is like 216 Railway Ave.

And now some pics of the store;

Outside last night just before we took the paper off the windows. Even with the paper on, we had customers entering the store to return movies (despite the fact that not a single movie had been rented yet) and families entering to check it out. Once the paper got off, it got worse. A good sign.

One of the New Release racks.. Only $5!

And finally, my staff pics for this week or month... we're not sure which. Each one will have a theme. Guess what the theme is this week! Movies are Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters 2, Coffee and Cigarettes and Life Aquatic.

More 1 Year Anniversary stuff tommorrow, and maybe some pics of Bootsy later this week!

Friends of Pilot's World

This was supposed to be the final post this week, but in light of the support I've gotten over the past couple hard days, I'd like to dedicate this one to you guys.

________________________________________________

Although I've constantly maintained that Pilot's World was made for me, and for the first few months that's what kept it afloat, the people who visit and interact with Pilot's World are a huge part of what makes it happen. I don't think I would be so inclined to post as much or able to make income off the page if it weren't for my faithful readers and supporters. Here's a shout out to some of them;

Shanna - My sister and first real reader. Shanna has been a constant commenter from day one and has had her own blogging ups and downs. Her original blog, This is Now started around the same time as mine in November 2004. Going through some ups and downs she started a couple more blogs, finally settling on her current blog, Hecticity. Shanna was also co-founder with me of The Pylon.

Nathan - His drive to try something new has kept me on my toes and I'd have to say that for a few months there, fuelled the growth of Pilot's World. Nathan's blog Subablomic was started in May 2005 as a comic site, and although has met this goal only a couple times has been a great window into his brain. Nathan also held the first blog contest after I posted my first contest. Shanna won I think. I also think Nathan was the first to point out the presence of a blog community growing around all my friends online.

Andrew - Little brother and copycat extraordinaire. No not really. He's not technically my brother as he was adopted. HA! Andrew's site, Randomization started in january 2005 and has been a constant source of hilarity. He's so much more emotional in print than in person. He's also retarded. Andrew brough alot of his friends into the blogging circle and is a pretty regular commenter on all the blogs in the group.

Dave - Although not a very regular updater and only blogging since July this year, Dave is a very regular commenter and an all-round positive person. Whenever I have one of my uber-nagative posts, I can always depend on Dave's "Serenity Now?" comment. Dave's Blog Chilean Canadian Christian Propaganda (CCCP) contains the amount of Star Wars references I wish I could put into my blog. His girlfriend calls him David and it throws everyone off.

Steve - How can one forget Steve... I mean I try and he just SHOWS UP! Steve or Steven Matthew Biss IV as he is more commonly (and painfully) called started The Blogginator in February of 2005 with the again painful address http://thisisgoingtobeareallylongaddress.blogspot.com/ (try and remember that). Steve provides me with plenty of material and frankly I could blog just our MSN conversations and it would be one of the most entertaining blogs in history. His blog also is painful. Steven is painful, a warning for any women who might want to sleep with him.

Dore - She's my cuz and it's her blog that has shown me how blogging can shorten distances between people. I rarely get to see Dore, yet I've got a pretty good handle on several aspects of her life thanks to meanderings, started in December 2004. She also won the second Pilot's World Contest in November 2005.

Rob - another newbie to the circle, Rob's blog Enthenogens and Artistic Exploration started in July 2005 is very elegantly written. I always keep my eye on this one to see what he's gonna publish next. For some reason I never feel like commenting on his blog... it seems sacreligious some how.

Jon - Down_Lo, started in February 2005, is the most rarely updated blog in the history of time and yet I think he gets more hits a day then I do. What the hell? Jon's writing is a bit erratic, but entertaining to say the least.

Other blog regulars include Amanda, Jeff, Mark, Kat, Abe and more. Even as i write this, several more people seem to be entering the group and i'm sure by this time next year this list will be 3 times bigger.

A Look Into the Destinations of Pilot's World

I really don't feel like blogging anymore. blogging as an artform is about expressing yourself. And yet the times I've truly expressed myself here, I've been told I shouldn't or am wrong. It discourages the reality of what this is. I might have a billion readers on this blog, I write it for me. I'm going to post the remainder of my pre-written drafts over the next week as I contemplate some things.

Fuck anyone who thinks I should silence myself. This is my blog and I will say, show or do whatever the fuck I want. You don't like it, leave.

___________________________________________________________________

It's growing. Frankly when I started this beast, I was pretty ambitious, but I never thought it would get this out of hand. But hey it's fun and I still have a life beyond this computer so that's cool. And now you're tour guide to the destinations of Pilot's World to date.

Pilot's World - The Blog - Updated with as much regularity as I can muster, this is really the heart and soul of Pilot's World. I look at it as the newspaper of my life. If you're reading this, it's likely you know what the blog is about, stupid articles and my life.

Pilot's World Webcam - Started as a viewport into the life of a spider I caught, it has also been used to monitor the new Digicam fund (the jar is still there, and maybe we'll check it out more soon) and to look out my front window. I want to expand on this webcam, with webcams of friends and such.

Pilot's World Store - A vain attempt at making some money. I'm really only starting the store to practice up for a future project. But hey, if you wanna buy something, I'll keep adding stuff and you can help me get closer to that new DigiCam.

Producer School - Sometimes I feel really gung ho about this. Other times, I don't care. But I made Producer School to be a continuous reference of my progress so that I COULD diverge from the path and when I came back I'd know where I was.

Flikr Photo Album - all of the early images for Pilot's World were hosted here and the template images are still referenced from here. Blogger now hosts photos for you, so I rarely use the service any more.

Pilot's World Photolab - A part of the site I wish I worked on more. I have hundreds of pictures I'd like to share and it is my intention to do so. Actually has been secretly the most controversial section of my site. Don't bother looking, the controversial bits have been removed (I hope).

Pilot at Ourmedia - Still working on this section. Once I figure this all out, I'll be hosting sound files and video files from this host. Whenever that may be.

Pilot at GarageBand - I've been doing GarageBand far longer than Pilot's World, but I still count it part of the page. i think my reviews are fairly entertaining and I know I've really liked some of the bands I've heard. I may eventually get a GarageBand Greatest Hits radio station going as I have that in my power there.

Pilot's World Development Lab
- In itself, this is under development.

The Pylon - A new defunct project I started with Shanna and ran with Steve and Andrew. It is the precursor to another project I intend to start sometime in the new year.

Other sites that I feel are integral parts of the Pilot's World environment, but are not necessarily in the network include the WMD homepage, The GTO Sunrise Board and the Tri Province Adventure Club Board.
How can you be in love with someone for 2 - 1/2 years and after that time never understand each other.

HOw can you struggle for so long and end up with a broken heart and a useless life?

I'm tired, I've struggled enough.

This is the end.

Pilot's World Year 1 - First Year History of Pilot's World

Hey folks. Had a really shitty Nov. 11. Work was really busy/bad and never made it home at all to post a Rememberance Day post. I apologize to all the veterans and soldiers who died to make it possible for me even to have the free speech to post here. I've always respected soldiers and Rememberance Day. I regret missing it this year, I profited from it in paycheque, but I disrespected those I should honour. A special shout out to my grandpa, Roch Pilon who helped repair airplanes during WW2.

But back to the week of celebration, Pilot's World History!

November 2004 - Shawna leaves for Weyburn for a long weekend, leaving me to fend for myself for three days. I finally have the time and boredom necessary to start my personal webpage, consisting of a start page and a blog that would soon become the center of attention.

I started on a good foot, had several good posts and talked about football alot. Template in these beginnings is Tic Tac Green

December 2004 - the Blog begins to grow as does the blog community. I start the Save the World series which will eventually become The Pylon. Beginnings of my relationship difficulties begin as i propose to Shawna. XMAS and transfer to A&W.

January 2005
- Car and Computer break down. New computer, fixed car. Hate Job ALOT, annouce new website the Pylon, have several good design projects in my lap.

February 2005 - More design work, discover picture of george the rabbit which sows the pet seeds, resulting in Bootsy. Transfer out of A&W back to bakery. Around this time, change template to Thisaway Blue. Cool dreams, fire, curling broom and racism.

March 2005
- Most boring month of blogging yet. Great list on places I've hit my head. People generously add places I've forgotten.

April 2005 - My blogging technique finally takes off. This is the best month I've probably ever done. Pilon for Pope, Things Look better in Black and white, the Missing Frisbee and i made my first template - News of the Pilot.

May 2005 - Wow, another excellent month. Star Wars mentions, Hires Root Beer contest and entries, Pilot's World Advice Column (which only one person has ever sent in for I might add), Live Aid, LAN, google the pope, more bloggers and my first blog scandal (hi mom!).

June 2005 - Football, Canada Day, Announcement of the Hires Root Beer winner, Announcement of the move.

July 2005 - More Football, canoe trip highlights, moving to Weyburn, some good family stuff... mom is still reading my blog.

August 2005 - Busy month... probably the most "information intensive". Mark interacts with animals begins, saving the world, short lived days of my life column begins, new "pinup" template designed and implemented, Producer School started, I catch several vermin, Pilot's world webcam started, old lists reposted, I put a keg in a fridge, scotchfest.

September 2005
- Bootsy enters, Hurrican Katrina, Shaq, Saskatoon trip, Spruce Woods trip, first mention of the 666 story.

October 2005 - Blogging contest, second blog controversy (hi Shanna!), selling out, 666, anger and a move.

My Year as a Blogger

My sweet Jesus has it been a year already! Yup it looks like it. One year ago today I had a couple upcoming days off work and Shawna was going home, so I decided to start a blog and a group of webpages called Pilot's World.

I had made several earlier attempts at webpages and an earlier blog, but all to no avail. But this evening would be different. I would start it all, webpage and blog and everything. Little did I know that of all I would put together those days, the blog would become the center of it all. In fact although the independant start page has been eliminated at the moment, it has been under serious consideration to re-launch the Pilot's World main site (or portal?.. the "Airport"!) to act as a launching place for Pilot's World.

This week I'll be posting several "Pilot's World"-centric posts. Included will be "How I Learned to Blog", "History of Pilot's World - Year 1", "Friends of Pilot's World", "A Look Into the Destinations of Pilot's World", "The Future of Pilot's World"

With the exception of tommorrow when I'm going to post a Rememberance Day message, this week is devoted to that which is my online world. Please enjoy.

My magic number - 305.33

That's how many cans of Pepsi Cola it will take to kill me. This is an invaluable number to know as I am a cola addict and I may someday approach that vital overdose.'

This incredibly valuable service was provided to me by Energy Fiend, and I may someday be forever in their debt when I stop at 304 cans of Pepsi and say "NO! I'll die"

Better head over there yourself and find out how many drinks of your vice you can have before you die too.

Incidentally it would take 58.01 No-Doz Extra Strength to kill me. And also, Energy Fiend is a great little blog. He has an article on there about this energy drink called VPX Redline Fat Burner. Holy crap! Just a can could kill you! Wowzas!

Sweet Jesus YES!

OK this is amazing.

Anyone who knows me really well, probably knows that I'm a Muppet freak (amongst other things). Well ABC recently announced plans to produce a new Muppet series called "America's Next Muppet", a Muppet reality-TV show.

Now I have one request. PLEASE ABC make it a spoof on reality TV. Although the Muppets have always fit in well with popular TV formats (variety shows were very popular in the 70's hence the Muppet Show, a "third rate variety show" Mark Hammil), it's in the parody of the format that they excelled. I'm sure the people who are carrying on Jim henson's legacy will do well. I mean Muppet's From Space was great as far as I could see.

I guess we'll find out in good time.

Mark Interacts With Animals Third Edition

Well y'all, he's back, this time with our old friend Bootsy!

Let's just say... once again Mark loved Bootsy more than Bootsy loved Mark. Rob on the other hand, strongly disliked Bootsy... she loved him.

In other Bootsy related stuff, i'm organizing the house right now and I figured "Hey, let's put it on the webcam" so I am. If you're reading this Saturday evening after 8:45, check out the Pilot's World Webcam and give me pointers on how to organize and get my shit together!

And on a Mark related note, his band Kleinbottle is recording an album right now. And for our viewing pleasure, they have a webcam. Go check it out at the Roslyn Webcam.

A new blog for the List!

So yeah, Jeff's girlfriend, Rhonda has had a blog for a while and Jeff finally got it to me. Called Rescue Regina, so far I've read about her experiences at the halloween party i had to miss thanks to the fact that I work too much. the first MSN blog i have on the list, and I'm not sure I like the look. Of course they do offer many of the services I've had to gather elsewhere in once place, but I dunno... it just doesn't do it for me.

By the way Jeff, you're blog is getting out of date... nudge nudge.

Anyone wanna figure out my work situation for me? I'm sick and tired of going to the Inn.

Contest Entries So Far

Dore - From Work, From Quebec

Andrew - From a friends house.

Thanks for the E-mails!

Thanks to everyone who e-mailed me on "Annual Send me an E-mail Day".

Big shout out goes to Joanna, Scott, Steve, Shanna, and Nathan. Nothing better than having your work interrupted by fresh e-mails! It also helped me to quickly become accustomed to my new e-mail service. Gmail is great and if anyone wants an account, send me an e-mail and I'll send you an invite as the program is by invitation only and I have 97 more invites to give out. You get 2.5 gigs of storage space and they encourage you NOT to delete your e-mails ever. They also claim that they are continuously adding more room for users.

Bye Bye Hotmail!

Also I'd like to give a big thank you to everyone who sent their best for my grandfather. If you aren't aware, my good ol' Grandpa Pilon (who got the 29 in crib as you may recall) suffered a massive heart attack last Monday that seriously damaged his heart and held him terrifyingly close to death by mid-week last week. Since last Friday he has gone through marked improvement and is now in a state that we consider nothing short of a miracle. Though it is likely he will never be off oxygen and his mobility is severly decreased he is alive and quite well all things considered. I went up this past Sunday to see him and had a good visit with him and many members of my family who I missed dearly (shout out to Dore and Rochelle!).

And finally! It's snowing in Weyburn (there ya go Shanna!) If you wanna see some of it for yourself, check out the Pilot's World Webcam.

Are You the Outdoorsy Type?

I sent a few e-mails out about this tonight, but I think I missed a few people, Nathan comes to mind a being one of those...

Kristie T and I were discussing upcoming camping trips that are being planned and we agreed that there should be a central planning area for these things. So I created the Tri-Province Adventure Club (based on this summers Tri-Province canoe Club) Message board. Check it out at

http://triadventure.proboards66.com/index.cgi

I'm not really gonna inhibit the joining of people to the board, but I imagine you would want to make sure you'll fit in with any one group on a trip before signing on for a trip. Hopefully this should spawn many outdoor adventures in the future as I know I and many others that were out last summer have a very large itch... and no it's not the crabs we all got from screwing Kristies boyfriend... it's to get out and discover more of the world.

First Annual Send me an E-mail Day

Well kids I'm sitting here at home, alone and procrastinating from some real work that I hafta do. So i'm making up a new day! In commemoration of my new e-mail address and my return to the web, I'm making today the first annual "Send Me an E-mail Day!"

If you send me an e-mail today, about or of anything, I'll e-mail you back with a witty response, a one of a kind picture or maybe some other treat, just for you!

Yep, I'm bored. And loving it.

Send e-mails to jeremy.pilon@gmail.com

Coming of the Apocalypse?

So i'm a little behind on this story, but last night it happned again, and it prompted me to get into gear on this one. Last night, HALLOWEEN night, we went to the bar and got some drinks. Back comes the bill and what was the total? $6.66. Been seeing that number all too often lately, and it has me concerned.

While we were there, Jeff also mentioned another Devil's Lunch from im Hortons. While he wasn't sure exactly what it was, he thought it included a dozen doughnuts and a Coke. If anyone tries this or any other combination of purchases that result in soe form of 666, send it along, we're gonna follow this story.

Steve and I discussed the problem a few weeks ago on MSN, the main part of the conversation went like this ;

16/10/2005
12:45:10 PM
Steven Matthew Biss IV (Beware the Tendrils)
Pilot - Contest at Pilot's World
Okay, my friend, Johnny Cameron... I found out last night his BIRTHDAY is going to be on June 6th, 2006.... and he's turning 18, which is 6+6+6.
16/10/2005
12:45:25 PM
Pilot - Contest at Pilot's World
Steven Matthew Biss IV (Beware the Tendrils)
oh sweet jesus!

While discussing these recent revelations with Andrew this afternoon, he mentioned that Johnny had found one at I think, 7-11, as well. John, if you remember what it was or have a scan or picture of the receipt... send her along to me...

So anyways this is turning into a real corker of a set of coincidences. So if anyone has any more instances of 666 appearing in their lives, send me the info at jeremy.pilon (at) gmail.com preferrably with a picture or scan of the instance. We'll be prepared for the coming at least... unlike those fucking naysayers like my girlfriend.

E-mail Change

Well all, I don't do this often... infact, never, but i'm gonna do it now. I'm changing my e-mail address. Please update my address in your mailing lists to jeremy.pilon (at) gmail.com. It gives me more space and is a pretty cool service.

In addition to the move, I'll be quitting my part time job at DQ and moving over to my buddy Corey's new video store, C & C Movie Factory. I'll be assistant manager there as well as cooking at the Inn. I can't wait!

Happy halloween Y'all!

Have a safe and fun Halloween.

Incidentally I'm back, more content coming soon!

My Opinions are Well Founded

I found a place, I'm moving in tommorrow. Will probably be a few weeks before I have internet/telephone again.

Once again, I'll apologize for the coming lack of updates. Just hope I don't miss the Pilot's World 1 year anniversary.

I'll make this Short and Sweet

THIS POST HAS BEEN REMOVED IN THE INTEREST OF PERSONAL FAMILY RELATIONS.

Dead Like Me

One of my favourite shows to watch right now is Dead Like Me an hour long comedy about the life of a newly initiated grim reaper named George (fem.). It's a pretty great show and frankly I'd reccommend it to anyone.

In the show George is required to get a real job as being a grim reaper doesn't come with a salary. Her boss at the temp agency she works at is named Delores Herbig (as in "her big brown eyes"). At one point she gives George a holy rolling shitload of collating to do finishing with "I think collating is so Zen." I thought the statement was ridiculous until watching the show with Jeff one day and he commented that he agreed. It got me thinking about some of the mundane jobs I do that I would consider "Zen". For example ;

- Peeling potatoes
- Cleaning the grill at work
- Bagging bread (when I was at the bakery)
- Occasionally I will get it when cleaning a particularily difficult object, especially if its complex and needs to be taken apart and re-assembled.

Anybody got Zen projects of their own?

Delores Herbig thinks collating is very zen. I think peeling potatoes, bagging bread and cleaning a grill is very zen.

Speedruns

Ok we've all seen it. The breakneck speed emplyed by a young japanese boy to beat Super Mario 3 in 11 minutes(and finished with full lives). If you have not seen this video yet and thus are living undera rock and don't beleive me, check it out here at e-baums World.

I had seen some other "exceptional video game play" videos as well, but i recently found something cool at archive.org. It is a webpage commited to "Speed Runs" or completing a video game in a very short time. Some very cool videos to be sure. Including a guy beating Mario 1 in 5 minutes. Wow. It took me 15 years. Now there's a boring video.

He never even uses a mushroom or flower power up. Just regular small Mario the entire play. No glitches used either, and very little killing... only when needed. This could be a lesson for some of the world's powers. Sometimes staying small and avoiding violence is the best way to solve a conflict.

There is also a video of a guy beating Legend of Zelda :Ocarina of Time in under 5 hours, but I don't wanna hafta wait for that one... hey Andrew, you could try that... I mean hey, you've done it with 3 hearts!

The Long Walk

I took Bootsy out for a long walk at Tatagwa Parkway - Signal Hill Trail and had a blast this afternoon. The trail is the more popular of the two Tatagwa Trails and as such has more garbage, vandalism and traffic, it does highlight some of the more beautiful aspects of Weyburn. It also highlited to me the growth of Weyburn as a city and how we will soon surround these natural wilderness. Rob speaks of the influence of man even deep in Stanley Park in Vancouver. It's happening here too Rob. Incidentlally, I've thought of a great way to keep everyone informed of walks and outdoor trips that I'll implement tonight. A ProBoards message board that we can all announce stuff like this on. I'll have more details here and by e-mail tonight.

Speaking of Rob, his girlfriend and friend and co-birthdayer to me, Kar has a blog of her own now. Called "Who Writes Blogs Anyway? Must Be Those Freaks" I've obeyed her first wishes on the blog and taken a picture ;

There, done. Should be a good read, she's not a big talker, maybe she's a wordsmith.

Jeff is now back to blogging full time, i seem to have convinced him it's the right path. Now all tha't s left to get blogging is Mark. If only there was a way to get him blogging.... hmmm.

Impending Doom

So as we can all recall a few weeks ago I posted a scan of my paycheque in which I was paid exactly $666. Well today Andrew informed me of a "Devil's Lunch" he bought at 7-11 consisting of;
- A chocolate Milk-to-Go
- A grab bag of Old Dutch Potato Chips (flavour undetermined)
- A small container of Dill Pickle Dip

It's cost $6.66. Then as we're talking about it, Blair from work breaks in and mentions that his bank account balance was recently $666. Now I'm not trying to panick anyone, but I think the apocalypse is coming. I think the coming of the date June 6, 2006 (6-6-06) might have something to do with it.

I have a theory that intentionally causing all of these events to happen will open a gate to hell which will signal the start of the apocalypse. I'm game, so I'll start tommorrow by buying the Devil's Lunch at 7-11.

Moan!

Ok so I just got home from my second job. Al I wanna do is hit the can and make a deuce. But Michelle has like a dozen people over and the house smells like the mall entrance to the Bay. So I'm a little self concious about bustin' a dook right now.

Anyone got any good bathroom stories?

Stupid Riders..... YOU SHOULD HAVE WON THAT ONE!

I'm a Very Angry Person Right Now

Yep, it seems everyone is out to piss me off. At least I made amends with Andrew, now everyone else on the other hand... well we'll just hafta kill them off.

Hoping someone will enter the Pilot's World Contest. It's just a good ol' time and hey you could win the prize pack too! So far, no one has entered.

Insane video of a cop being hit by a car here. He actually gets up and goes after the guy!

Riders are going for six straight tonight. If you can't be at the game remember to listen to it on the radio or online at CKRM. Kickoff is at 5:00 Sask time.

What to blog about

What should I blog about? Should I talk about how I've been slandered by my own sister. I could sit here and defend myself, but frankly I'm having some fun on a shitty little blog and i'm getting so used to being backstabbed by my sisters that I'm not giving it anymore discussion. Those who want to have fun with me can, those who don't can go fuck themselves.

Jeff is back blogging. He's discussed some more cool plans on how to take power from Mr. George Bush, and hopefully he continues to blog. I know I'd really like to see it. His girlfriend, Rhonda is apparantly also a blogger, hopefully he gets me her link so i can add her to the collective.

To clarify the rules from the contest yesterday, the entires must be POSTED from the locations, not just written, that would kill the challenge of it all.

Have been MSNing my ass off lately. Rob and I were MSNing this afternoon. Sounds like he isn't having as much fun in Vancouver as he should be, but I know he'll get above it and enjoy the experience. I also managed to blog with my old firend Alex Roy whom is currently in China. Was amazing to reunite with an old friend a world away.

New Contest! The Blogging Challenge!-

Allright folks here it is! The long awaited new contest on Pilot's World! The Blogging Contest.

The rules are fairly simple. Below you will find a list of original places and ways to blog. Your cahllenge is to post from as many of these places as possible in the next month. Specify where you are posting in each post and e-mail me at BlogContest@pilotsworld.tk. I will post all entries into the contest here at Pilot's World and the scores so far so you can see how other Bloggers are doing. If you think you know of an original (but still fairly general) place to post, something that any normal person can do, e-mail me at BlogContest@pilotsworld.tk. If I approve it, it will be added to the list and posted for everyone to participate.

The person with the most original posts in original places will win our prize pack. In the case of a tie, the winner will be chosen by random lot. Old posts don't count and an original post can only be counted once (so e-mailing from work only counts as the work option or e-mail not both, choose wisely).

The Prize pack will consist of ;
1 - A replica of the actual frisbee I lost over a year ago.
2 - A Piot's World t-shirt... original!

It is 1:37:22

Yes that's the EXACT time the girl at 7-11 toldme it was. Not "twenty to two" not "one forty". In reply to my question "do you have the time?" the girl at the counter replied "it is one-thirty-teven-twenty-two" thank god she gave me the seconds or I would have been late.

Bootsy and I went to 7-11 after our first successful visit to the vet this afternoon. She had her first checkup with Dr. Andrea ClarkeIt all checked out well, she's in perfect health. The doctor felt that Bootsy was certainly a year and a half old if not two years old. Pretty good shape all around, I'm gonna hafta contact the Estevan Humane Society tommorrow and get her medical history... as well as any other history that I can find.'

All I know is I think Bootsy drank her big gulp too fast... look at her! Pretty tuckered out!

Walking with Bootsy

Probably the hardest but most rewarding part of now owning a beagle is their insatiable energy and untruswortiness off a leash. This causes me to take Bootsy on long and frequent walks for everything from potty breaks to simple exercise. While on these walks I see alot more that I would have previously missed. I've learned to appreciate my surroundings more and see alot more of the world and my community. It's also increased the bond between me and my dog.

What most facinates me are the hidden and forbidden places. Like for example abandoned or unused buildings. There are several in Weyburn and it never ceases to amaze me how these huge once bustling buildings are now empty and cold. Also neat are the hidden places, small parks and hidden paths. I know I'm not the first person to discover or use these places and paths, but they are not places I would normally visit. I look forward to winter coming so that I can see the paths that I can't see in summer and follow the escapades of another person... or animal.

Submitted for your enjoyment today are some of the photos I took on one of those walks last week. they are availiable at my Shutterfly account under the album "Me n' Bootsy". These are mostly from the Tatagwa Parkway here in Weyburn on the Redcoat Trail.

To do with Sponsorship

Ok folks to keep me honest during my scandalous sellout weeks to come, I've created the "New Digital Camera Fund". The finest bank account money can buy (the old sauerkraut jar that held "Brain" and "The Un-Named Spider") now holds the funds I am raising for my new digital camera. It can also be viewed at the Pilot's World Webcam! Advertising on all the Pilot's World Network is provided by Google Adsense, a pretty cool tool I might note... very easy to implement. If you're wondering why you can't see the ads yet, Google informs me that it takes up to 48 hours for them to scan my page and assign appropriate advertising.

I have set up my Ourmedia page which will soon feature all my non-photographic or text based media. Included will be videos, sound clips, songs, maybe some software and more. You can visit the page here.

Check out here tommorrow morning, I should have some new Pics up of Bootsy and some of our walks around town.

Happy Birthday Roo Bear!

I'm selling out

Yeah big whoop wanna fight about it. I'm getting ad-sense on this here blog. What does that mean for you? It means more content, updates more than once a day... more than three times a week. It means hopefully better content, like porno and stories of my dog (but not together).

For me it means I'm gonna start saving up for a new digital camera that I'm now nearly in desparate need of. Mine is on the rocks and nearly dead, so I gotta start working on a new -BETTER one now.

Also i fixed Bootsy's post as it was fucking with the H-Scroll, you're welcome Nathan.

New band, New Day

So Andrew, my bud Steve Dreidger and I are starting a new band. We're gonna practice tonight in the garage. Should be a tonne of fun. We start the band at 9:15 tonight, maybe we'll have some pics up or some music or something to show you. Or maybe not. Who knows.

I got a raise at work yesterday.

Paperwork to catch up on

So here are several things I've been meaning to catch up on.

First, Dave from CCCP's girlfriend, Amanda has a blog called In the Image of God. An interesting look at her life and cutely enough, the femal comaninon template to Dave's. Or David's if you prefer.

Rob posted his collection of photos from the Canoe trip. They can be viewed at his Shutterfly account. Now you can see the dumbass hat I wear when I go camping.

After a rough go with her last blog and a false start on a new one, Shanna has re-emerged with a new blog called Hecticity. She suggested... well inadvertantly, a new place to post on your blog, from class... I think I'm gonna make a contest.....

Sorry Y'all

Fuck. Ok it seems Bootsy won't get off my lap. It seems she wants to blog today. So here it is...

Well Christ

Can't seem to get into blogger today, so I'm gonna hafta use my Zoundry Blog Writer to post today. Hey, there's another item for the list of places/ways to blog.

wmd.jpgI am a little upset. I watched the movie Be Cool last night at my buddy Steve's. I found the movie hilarious, but one part disturbed me. They stole my old bands name... sorta. In the movie there is a hip hop/gangsta rap (I know rob will correct what I've called them) group called the Dum M D's. Well hell my old band was called WMD. This is off the hook, See I can prove it, check out our old website. Oh well nothing I can do about it, I'm not suing MGM.

Anyways. Found my wallet that had been missing for several days. It has slipped under the seat of my parents car. Thank god, I was shitting myself over it. But anyways, I better got get some cleaning done, so see ya all later.

Tired thy name is Jeremy

So wow. Just spent the past 2 days helping Shawna's dad and uncle shingle her grandparents' house. I love that kind of work because yup can get some good honest work done, get some fresh air, drink and at the end of the day, the girls make you supper and do the dishes. I'm not being sexist, I just don't like doing dishes.

Pretty exhausting though, especially when the two days before I had done the double job thing (23 hours in 2 days). Slept like a log last night, probably will tonight too.

Life feels like its picking up again. I know, I know don't let my guard down or something is gonna happen... knock on wood!

Ladies and gentlemen...

I got a dog. Hells yes. So now this is gonna turn into one of those crappy cute blogs where I make a 3 page post everytime she takes a shit. Now that's devotion.

She's about a 1 year old beagle cross adopted from the Estevan Humane Society. Quiet, obedient and above all loves everyone. One of those dogs that would lick a robbers face and show them were the valuables are.

On the way home, my buddy Steve and I who came with me to adopt her came up with the perfect name. After P-Funk bass player and cool dude all the 'round, Bootsy Collins. So my new Pup's name is Bootsy. Bootsy is a good name becuase Bootsy the bass player kicks ass.

Pictures form the Saskatoon trip are now up at the Photo Lab, including pictures of the Torvaldson cube.

OK so Michelle wants an update on the eyes I came to get checked here. I say fuck that son!

So Shanna and I came to this here internet cafe at the U of S called Browsers, so here I am, blogging at an internet cafe... another check on the list. I should make and "ultimate places to blog from" list. To date they would be (including a check on which I've completed).

- Home Computer (check)
- Work Computer (check)
- From a cell phone (not yet)
- From a blackberry (not yet)
- From an internet TV (check)
- From the woods (not yet)
- From a rooftop or exceedingly high place(not yet)
- From an internet cafe (CHECK)
- From a library (check)
- From a public bathroom (not yet)
- From underground (not yet, your basement doesn't count)
- From another continent (not yet)
- From in a car (not yet)

SO there it is to date, any suggestions are welcome.

Shanna and I went tearing around the U of S campus last night. We saw a bajillion cool things. Included are ; a bunch of dinosaurs (T-Rex, Triceratops, raptor, that one with the plates on his back), some cool rocks and crystals, THE BIGGEST ASS KOI I'VE EVER SEEN (Like 30 lbs EACH), SOme cool aquariums with chiclids and some wicked sturgeon, the Thorvaldson Building with the large concrete cube that is reputed to contiain Throvaldsons wheelchair bound remains inside (check the photo lab in a couple days to see a picture of me sitting on it), the airplane room (a room with hundreds of paper airplanes stuck in it's incredibly high ceiling, rumor has it that WW2 fighter pilots were trained there and threw the planes there, if their plane fell, they had died in the war), John Deifenbakers grave (where I made an inappropriate joke and suddenly my digi cam wouldn't work, so I apologized and it worked again... weird) and the cool atrium and glass elevator at the Agriculture Building.

Wow any one of those things would have made a blog entry. Really. Anyways, got the rest of the day ahead of me, but this is likely my las tone from here in S'toon for now!
