I've been staring at an eyeball for three hours, so I deserve a break.
Actaully I'm really glad I'm getting all these projects on my plate. It's reminding me that I really can enjoy this work, and also... it's better than flipping burgers. I might try and convince Shawna to move to Calgary with me and I'll take the SAIT course in a year or two. Who knows... I'm never able to make up my mind on this shit, so I think I'm just gonna stop telling people about my new ideas.
The Pylon has been up for a couple of weeks now. I's not going as smoothly as I thought it might, but that's fine. We're still in the preliminary stages, and we're gonna get better. Just need to get a few things off my plate first so I can concentrate on it more. Right now it seems all Shanna and I have time for is keeping up with the articles and newsetter. But I still want to update the design of the page and put up some better content. Hopefully someone comes along who wants to help out a bit. Even one article a week or a research helper would make a huge difference in how much we can get done on the page. Plus i have to get used to spellchecking my stuff. It's not that I can't spell... I can spell quite well. It's just that my keyboarding is bad, so I make alot of typing mistakes. The crappy spelling is fine here, it's part of the charm of this site, my un-edited thoughts typed out as fast as I can, but for The Pylon, it won't be enough.

Busy Busy Bumble-bee
Ok frankly I need to make this quick. I can't beleive it, but within 2 days of having a working PC, I'm ogged down with multimedia work. I have;
1 ) The SHIMA page to complete. I'm 90% there.. should be at 100% by the end of the night.
2) New the Sask Radiologists Assoc. webpage. Still waiting on word for this one, but once I get it, I'm expected some quick response times.
3) My friend and co-media-ist Rob needs a portfolio done by Friday morning. I have to design, build and test drive it before Friday morning. A tight schedule to be sure.
4) Keep up with the Pylon... of which I still need to send the first newsletter out and do 3-4 write-ups for this week.
5) I still have a job to do.
So yeah Busy week, you might not hear much from me here, but I'll keep y'all posted.

Anyone know a good witch doctor.
So, I'm convinced. I'm fucking cursed. Sometime, somewhere I pissed some witch or some gypsy off and she silently placed a curse on me and now my life sucks.
SO HERE"S THE STORY!
Saturday morning, my car won't start... the battery that I've been meaning to change finally crapped out on me. Fuck. So I bought a new battery this morning, but I need to find time to put it in, so once again... I'm walking to work.
We went to PA this weekend. Had alot of fun, saw my Uncle and Aunt and the tireless redheaded 4 year old fireball we know as Sara. Went to a really dingy pool hall on Saturday night and neither Shawna nor I could shoot a ball straight all night. Judging by the condition of the tables, I might actually be abale to blame that one on the equipment.
Bought a computer Sunday afternoon, went out for Vietnamese, then drove 2-1/2 hours home. Carried my new computer upstairs, hooked it up and plugged it in.
It doesn't work.
I don't think there is even a HARD DRIVE in the fucking thing. It couldn't find the primary disk... not even in the BIOS or with my Windows XP install disk. So I'm left with a $1000 foot stool and I have to make another trip to PA Wed night or Thurs Morning. I hate everything and everyone forever!
So I'm posting from work.
Sometimes, I think I know where this stems from. God and I had a little tiff back in 1998 or 1999 and I think he's still giving me shit for it. You see I was planning this big barbecue for all my friends and I made a very public statement to everyone who attended, "God better not make it rain, he can hold off for one night. If he makes it rain, that's it, I'm not worshipping anymore... no more God for me, if he wants my faith, he can keep a clear sky for one night."
Well of course it poured buckets. I can still see my buddy Alex cooking a massive steak on the 'cue in this driving rain.
So naturally, my faith based activities have dwindled as a result of the deal I made. I'm thinking the big guy is kinda giving me a little "hey you think rain was a big deal, how about 7 years of shitty luck just because you're being a fucking moron". So maybe I need to re-examine my religious side. Or maybe I'm just unlucky.

Well of all the DAMN THINGS
Guess where I'm posting from... just guess. The FUCKING LIBRARY! Wanna know why?
Becasue my computer is now a useless foot stool. Dammit. So needless to say, I'm behind on a million projects, I left Shanna in the lurch for the pylon and I need to buy a new machine. Ain't life grand!
Its actually pretty funny. For being offline 6 days, the world has fallen apart. People have actually picked up the phone to get ahold of me.
So I'm heading into Prince Albert this weekend to get a new computer. Yay, a new toy!

Big New Announcement - Heal the World Final
So the project that Shanna and I have been working on was finally launched in earnest yesterday. Now it's pretty rusty and frankly maybe we should have waited for some spit-polish to be applied, but it's up and we're working on making it better.
The project is called The Pylon, and it is basically an entire website devoted to the idea of the "Heal the World" entries I've made in this blog. We are going to try and update the page on a daily basis, which should be possible with two people at the reigns. Right now I'm pulling my hair out trying to get the template for the page working. But that will come in time. So swing on by the page at http://thepylon.blogspot.com, bookmark and visit often!
In other non-saving the world news, I found a wicked fun website, that in honesty reminds me of me. It's called the Half Bakery and it's just full of peoples half-baked ideas. It's too much fun... I spent too much time on it already.

Omigod! Omigod Omigod
Ok.. puff puff... ok... ok... ok....
SO... ok....
wow.
Ok
I'm a little excit ... omigod.
Ok... here it is.
The MARS VOLTA IS COMING OUT WITH A NEW ALBUM IN MARCH!
AHHHHH!!!! I like them!
Ok so that's that off my chest.
Shanna and I are working on a new blog project. I like blogger, but she's kinda stuck on bloggers inablility to allow non members to post with their name. Any suggestions for other services or ways to change this?
I've got a day off work today. I'm not answering the phone. Do I sometimes sound like that guy on Clerks? I think so.

Homicide 101
Ok so let me set this up for you. I went to work yesterday and at 9:00 as I was preparing to leave from work I was informed that on Moday nights I was to stay at work unitl 10 to let the cleaners out. So I was pissed off. I got home, worked out and read. I got to bed around 2:30 AM.
6:15 AM my phone rings. Being delusional and asleep I choose to ignore it. Not Shawna. It's work. Len my super religious dumbass manager decided he'd rather not come in today. Oh and his two kids that also had to work today?? They're absent too. FUCK.
So needless to say I vented on Dave, the Northwest Company Manager... and asked for a transfer back to the grocery store. I hear there's an opening in Produce. Here's hoping. He seemed very receptive.
SO FUCK I HATE MY JOB. I wonder how many times that's written in a blog. Oh and when Len did show up it was 1hr 45 minutes later than he promised. Instead of leaving at 2, I left at 3. Fucker.

My Blog Needs Work
I know, I know.
I'm starting to prioritize, and I will get to reworking my blog... I have lots of content, but the layout and other crap on my blog is practically nonexistent... I mean I don't even have LINKS or a picture of me that works. On another subject, I think I'm gonna retire the Pilots World main site and just run it from here... so I'll put my few content pages up here. It'll just be easier to maintan if its in one place. BUT FIRST I have some other things I have to do.
1) Finish the SHIMA webpage and post it.
2) lay the ground work for The Pylon a currently top secret project my little sister and I are working on.
3) Then I can do the blog update.
So that's about the jist of it... it's what has to be done.
Think I'm gonna be requesting another transfer at work... before I commit a homicide at the A&W.

Getting my life in order
So once again Shawna and I get into the discussion last night. "Jeremy you know what you need to do, go back to school." The usual reply is "Gee that's a great idea, what do you suggest I go back to school for, because I don't have a hot clue." Then there's a 45 minute conversation of her giving me ideas I hate and me giving ideas that involve pimping or completely giving up my life as I know it.
I don't know what I want. And frankly that is to me the most important admission. I'm sick and tired of the world insisting that everyone should know what they want. Granted, I know what I don't want, but I can't afford another $20,000 student loan without a good job to follow it, just because I'm sick of fast-food. I HATE the job I have right now, but frankly I can easily see myself in 4 years with triple the debt I currently have and still working at a McDonalds or a Harveys.
Plausible options for me so far have been; follow in the family business - become an electrictian(not sure of this one yet), become a teacher (expensive), become a chef (shitty hours), musical instrument repairman (expensive to get into and I think this is my sisters dream more than mine), music (I'd have to give up everything), back to New Media school (i think I hate new media and I don't think I can get a job anyway), buy/start some sort of business (risky and I'm not sure where I want to start).
On a happier note, check out http://snowflakes.lookandfeel.com. You can make snowflakes, mine is saved as #6455888.. check it out.

Make mine a double.
Got the car fixed, and paid for - $360 later. Oh well, I don't usually spend alot on my car, I'm a self-repairing kinda guy, so I can't complain.
Found another easy way to support the tsunami victims. The Canadian Red Cross has been putting boxes out at various establishments around town to collect change. I just popped a few bucks in there... since I have no credit card to donate online.
Been working really hard on the new SHIMA website (formerly SHRA). Got a new logo and I'm just about done the design. Gonna bill them soon... then maybe FINALLY I'll have some money to take a trip to PA or Saskatoon for a weekend of new wardrobe and theatre movies. Mostly movies.
I cut my index finger on the side of it. Not a big deal, didn't even really notice it till I played an "f" chord on my guitar the other day. Then I cried. If you wanna know the exact location of my wound, learn to play an F on the guitar, then look where the E-string is touching your index.... right there. Fuckers.

I'm C c c c COLD!
DAMMIT!
So after walking to work for the past month and a half in -30 Degree Celcius weather, I FINALLY get enough money together to fix my car. A simple fix.. I think... just needs a new belt no problem right? Wrong.
I took it in this afternoon to MacGyvers Garage. I felt good about this, I mean the guy's fucking name is MACGYVER!!! He should be able to fix anything. He calls me 45 minutes later and goes... "your power steering pump is screwed and its wrecking your belts, you'll have to fix the power steering, but I can't you'll have to take it to Andersons". So i pick up the car, buy the belt, go to Andersons, find out its gonna cost me about $300 and leave my car there. Since I just spent all my money on the belt, I had nothing left to get a cab home. So I had to walk 4k home in -+35 weather. I hate my life.
